Board Members
Charlie Brown is a lifelong area resident working 35 plus years for JR Jensen Construction Company on local projects and throughout the Midwest. He enjoys giving back to his local community, working with nonprofits and volunteering. Charlie is the Treasurer of Siggy’s Musical Garden.
“To see people enjoy events, especially those who do not have ability to travel to live music, knowing I helped bring it to them is truly heartwarming”.
Melissa Brown is a Personal Lines Manager with Holden Insurance Agency and has worked as a licensed agent for 23 years. Passionate about her community, she serves as the President of the Superior Kiwanis Club, is a member of the Mentor Superior Subcommittee of Mentor North, is on the advisory board for Leadership Superior Douglas County, and serves on an education committee for PIA Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin. Melissa is Vice President of Siggy’s Musical Garden.
Melissa and her husband, Charlie, reside in South Range. They have two daughters. She enjoys traveling and spending as much time as possible with friends and family at her cabin in Barnes, Wisconsin.
Cheryl (Cheri) Finkbeiner is the co-founder and executive director of Siggy’s Musical Garden. She is the granddaughter of the namesake and inspiration behind this organization, Sigrid (Sig) Johnson. Cheryl has a BAS degree in K-8 education from University Minnesota, Duluth and is co-owner of First Impressions Home and Property Preparation.
Paul Finkbeiner has been a member of Siggy’s Musical Garden board since the organization’s founding in 2020.
He plays an integral role in the organization and setup of SMG’s events, including the summer concert series,
Superior Porchfest.
Raised in Proctor, Minnesota, Paul has been in the Twin Ports area for 40 years and has grown to appreciate the vibrant music and art scene in the area. In his everyday life, Paul owns and operates First Impressions Home and Property Preparation, a professional handyman service and runs several short and long term rentals with his wife, Cheri Finkbeiner.
Scott Lillo, a Duluth native, has been a driving force in the Twin Port’s arts and music scene for many years. As the Homegrown Music Festival’s production manager from 2018-2023, Scott’s passion for music shines through. He’s a dedicated advocate, serving on the boards of four local arts organizations and actively producing, mixing, networking, and promoting their programs. Scott is the President of Siggy’s Musical Garden.
Scott co-founded and produced Duluth High Schools’ “Battle of the Bands,” raising substantial funds for Junior Achievement. Currently employed by Sound Central, Scott is also a loving father to Tawna Rae, who shares his deep love for music. Fun fact: Scott can nap anywhere, even under a stage!
Molly Milroy is a writer and entrepreneur, whose writings have been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers. In 2018, she founded Rock Buddies, a small business focused on spreading positivity and encouragement through heartfelt messages sent by mail.
With an MA in Communications from Southern New Hampshire University and a BA in English from Texas A&M University, Molly combines her academic foundation with her creative talents. She serves on the board of the Great Lakes Aquarium and enjoys nature, live music, and traveling with her husband.
